The Afton Strawberry Festival will be celebrated in the historic village of Afton, Minnesota, which is located along the scenic St. Croix River. The festival honors the long, rich heritage of Strawberry crops grown in the area since the 1800’s. This FREE event will feature art vendors showcasing and selling their goods, European style flea market vendors selling second hand treasures, food vendors and a business expo. Artist and vendors will be located in the city park and all along the quaint St. Croix Trail Boulevards. The Afton Historical Society and local businesses will also participate by offering special strawberry activities and promotions. The annual Strawberry Festival Dinner prepared by and served at Memorial Lutheran Church of Afton will be held on Saturday, June 22. This much anticipated event features all you can eat, locally grown, fresh Strawberries! The Strawberry Festival Dinner has been celebrated at Memorial Lutheran since 1883! Tickets for the dinner will be available by calling the church at 651-436-1138.

10am to 5pm: Afton Historical Society Museum - Activities, treats and raffle
10:30am to 1:30pm: Gazebo Music Stage sponsored by Xcel Energy - Performance by BZ GIRLS – Light rock and pop
11am to Noon: Activity Tent in the Park – Award Ceremony for student art contest winners; guest emcee, Randy Meier – Channel 9 News Anchor; and Postal and City Officials from St. Croix Valley to participate.
11am to 4pm: Pavilion in the Park - Afton-Lakeland 6th grade art exhibit. FREE Strawberry Festival postcards and Afton Post Office Pictorial Postmark designed by local students. Postcards stamps will be available for purchase.
Noon to 4pm - Pavilion in the Park Arts and Crafts for children (led by local Girl Scout troops)
Noon to 1pm: Activity Tent in the Park: Proclamation Presentation by Afton Mayor Pat Snyder. Meet and Greet with Assorted Government Officials from St. Mary's Point, Lake St. Croix Beach, Lakeland Shores, Lakeland, Afton, Washington County and State of MN.
Noon to 4pm: Baglios - Pony Rides for children by Fantasy Corral
1pm to 2pm: Activity Tent in the Park - Strawberry Shortcake Eating Competition, sponsored by Hudson County Market
2pm to 5pm Gazebo Music Stage sponsored by Xcel Energy - Performance by Bob Damon Jazz Trio
3pm to 4pm: Activity Tent in the Park: “Make It and Take It” painted wine glass for adults – provided by Old School Art Studio
3pm to 7pm Strawberry Festival dinner, bake sale and children’s activities at Memorial Lutheran Church – a block from downtown. For advanced tickets call 651-436-1138.
